They look beautiful Wendy, what size are they? Do you shoot your own reference photos or are these from your head? Your wee birds are always so cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jade! Most of these paintings are 11 x 14 inches unframed! Some birds are from memory, and some are from photos I have taken others referenced from photos by David Kleinert who is a Victorian photographer who takes AMAZING wildlife photos!! I emailed him for permission and include all his details on the back of paintings that have been painted from his photos. I will post more about him in a little while!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome that he lets you use his shots as reference along with your own, I will google him (I love a good photographer! wish I was half decent in that medium haha would help my own reference shots alot) I need to practice my beach photography ;) (Wish I felt comfortable actually going to the beach with my easel and painting, that would be awesome) You birdies are really beautiful and so are your wee characters - I think you are such a great artist! I look forward to the day you have an exhibition!
