Hot weather !!

Hello to all!
I have been a busy girl in the past week, even with Christmas in the way!!
A few new paintings dropped off to Inverloch Gallery, they have sold a few works this month!
I figured that this might be the way things are shaping up for the summer, so I have been busy planning, and painting away so I have enough work to cover everything i want to do!

I have two Art shows in January, one so far in February, and our Local art show in March as well as a stand at The Harvest Of Gippsland on March the 7th.... What a great way to spend a Sunday... Painting and showing my work, listening to live music, enjoying local wine and cheese... I will skip the cheese as I don't really like it, but I don't mind wine on occasions!
And... there may also be a demonstration painting day taking place over at Inverloch in January, and another at Farm world in late March.... All this without my plans for a solo show some time around May!!
That is why I have been busy painting and planning!

This is what I have painted this week so far... all three are acrylic on a watercolour background, on 600gsm paper.
8x10 inches unframed!

Time is hard to come by!!

The busiest time approaches!

So many things going on!!

I have just opened up another website http://www.countrycraftsandarts.com/ to cover all things crafty that I do in my other business The Cats Grin.

It has been very busy of late, with loads of painting to do, and even more to come as the silly season approaches!

Then.... there is the Harvest of Gippsland that I need to paint for, I really need to make a good impression... How nerve wracking! I will post more about it as it approaches.

I have been doing more pastel work and LOVING it! Will post new photos of that stuff soon!!

Here are some works I did last month... nope... earlier this month!! I am getting a few days ahead of myself!

It has been a while...

I have been painting alot, so has my cheeky daughter!!
We thought that she had gone in the lounge room to watch Gumby... but instead had got some black paint I had thrown away and was painting her dummy on the coffee table, with a half sucked soggy kids omega3 fish shaped vitamin capsule as a 'brush'!!
Inventive!
After the initial shock of being sprung doing what she knows isnt allowed (in the lounge room) she was very proud of her 'painting'.
Despite the dummy and her face getting painted, there was next to no mess at all... Im amazed!

Another day painting!!

I spent alot of time today with a brush in my hand... but spent more time thinking about 'nothing' than painting!

Oh well tonight might be better!!

Here is what I painted (pastelled??) last night!

It isnt finished, but is getting there, it was done using a photo taken by Daniel (Devilbiss) of the art forum... I will post another picture when i have finished!!

Another day...and all the wrong sort of painting!

Well, another saturday spent painting like a mad man (woman!)
And only country crafts in sight!
Oh well... we have to pay the bills!!
I do enjoy painting, its just a bit draining when it gets repetitive.
I am refering to my craft business... and all the items i make to sell at my Sunday stall at the Berwick Market!
I have it set up permanently so there is no setting up and packing up each week, just unloading and selling!!
The weather is just so cold at present, i suspect tomorrow will be a quiet one!
Here is what i paint for sundays.... And my new website that is under construction!

This is one of the light switch surrounds i paint!
They are really popular at the moment and i need to paint more of them!!

getting the hang of this...

Here we are, another late night!!

I am itching to paint but if i start now i will never stop!!

Once i start, the tired button gets switched off then i get no sleep and are a zombie for the next day or so!!

Here is a little something i painted though!! (last month)
It is a bit of a close up section of some poppies that i did a small study for!! I will be completing a larger one for the Chelsea art show...

Take care all....
Wendy.

The news is depressing....

'Here and Now' A5 acrylic on paper.
Created yesterday in a burst of inspiration for Artstuff's online A5 exhibition!
It is my view of the world and all it means to me, and my interpretation of the masses view of the same... under plastic.
Our fractured, leaking atmosphere, being 'choked' by plastic, surrounded in a sea of smog and smoke....

Other than this I painted a teapot, teddybear glasses cases, lightswitch covers and a coffee pot...not to forget the old billy!!
I might show a picture of these things another day!!
Until tomorrow.... Wendy.
